Official Entry for "Cozy Spring Jam 2023"

The goal should be to program a cozy garden simulator. But then I thought the idea of seeing the game as a kind of puzzle was funny: how is it possible to have sunflowers on all surfaces?

Honestly, I do not know. I'm a bad gardener too. So I programmed this experience into the game: plants grow at different speeds, not at all, or the soil is suddenly too wet or too dry.

HOW TO WIN

The goal of the game is to have sunflowers on all platforms (yes, very abstract, I know). Or you can make it your goal to have water everywhere. Or everything will dry up.

If you somehow manage to have sunflowers everywhere, please send me a screenshot.

HOW TO CONTROL

The control of the game is indirect. You are a kind of god and you can determine the weather. With a click on the clouds you can change the weather. With a click on a grass area you can sow a seed.

TIPPS & TRICKS

• Changes are only implemented at the change of day
• You can click on the clouds multiple times
• A certain degree of soil moisture (rain!) is not bad for successful growth
• The starting conditions are always slightly different
• If it has rained long enough, everything is under water
• How and under what conditions the plants grow is part of the puzzle... sorry.
• Since there are random elements, there is no single solution
